Ton Haarmans was born in Utrecht in 1953 and studied philosophy at the University of Amsterdam for 5 years. In the early 1980’s he came into contact with followers of the Indian guru Rajneesh (also called “Bhagwan” and later “Osho”) and took “sannyas” in 1983.
After Rajneesh‘s death, he sought refuge with some Neo-advaita teachers. His quest for enlightenment ended when he saw that this moment here and now is all there is. What else is there to say?
Ton loves science, photography and nature. Ton worked as a graphic and web designer for a long time and still likes to work on his computer. He is currently enjoying retirement with his partner Asti and dogs Angie and Sky in Spain.

Too lazy to be ambitious,
I let the world take care of itself.
Ten days‘ worth of rice in my bag;
a bundle of twigs by the fireplace.
Why chatter about delusion and enlightenment?
Listening to the night rain on my roof,
I sit comfortably, with both legs stretched out.
